I am a fan of finger pressing! It's only taken my 20 years to figure that out, but I am finding that if I finger press a seam before pressing it with an iron, then the block or seam doesn't get all distorted out of shape! Now why didn't I figure that out 50 quilts ago?? I don't know, but I'm glad I finally did. Also I realized that pressing and ironing are two different things. If I press, voila! Less block distortion :)
