Let's Be Honest!

Last night Michelle and I took a class from Irena Bluhm on how to design our own quilting designs. I must say Irena is refreshingly honest! 

She told me these feathers above look like hot dogs and you would only put them on a quilt that someone wouldn't pay very much money for! She had me draw them over and the ones below were "better".

She did not hand out compliments lightly so when one of us was told we had done something very well, we knew she meant it.

She was happy with these two, and so am I, from a distance.... Now I need to try stitching some of these designs I drew. The class was quite enjoyable and very informative and you can find out more about Irena at www.irenabluhmscreations.com
