I've made a little progress on my Chipmunk block! I have to say these layered leaves were rather hard to do. I had to appliqué the top layer (cotton) onto the bottom layer (wool), then appliqué it into the block with the fly stitch as the veins - leaving the rest of it loose. I like the way they look! Appliquéing the cotton onto the wool was kind of hard though because the pieces were fairly small.
I also did a little quilt store retail therapy today at one of my favorite quilt stores - My Girlfriend's Quilt Shoppe in Midway, Utah. They have Sue Spargo threads galore and fun Riley Blake fabric - just to name what I purchased :)
