The Value of Your Gift
If you're like me, you give most of the quilts you make away! I'm not sure the recipients always fully appreciate not only the time and cost of materials, but all of the love that we put into these creations! I saw this on The Quilt Show website and had to share. Hope you have a great day creating!!

The Hedgehogs Are Here!
Look what came in the mail today! Woodland Whimsy Block Number Ten!
Oh by the way - I counted how many leaves I stitched down on my IMQE piece - 392!! Actually, I ran out of floss with six left to go...
I've been doing physical therapy for my knee. The doctor told me it's arthritis. Today while doing PT, I overheard someone describing my exact symptoms to his physical therapist. I thought wow, someone else must have arthritis too! I looked over and it was a little boy about 8 or 9 years old! I kind of started eavesdropping and heard his PT tell his Mom that it was growing pains. So I guess if you're 8 or 9, you have growing pains and when you're in your 50's it's arthritis.

Froggy Finished!!
Yesterday I finished up my Woodland Whimsy frog block! I really like it! Apparently the next block was shipped yesterday too, so I should receive it sometime next week. I will be putting the finishing touches on this quilt before you know it! (Actually I think there is still quite a bit of embroidery in the sashing - which looks really fun!)
I love the butterflies - especially the beading.
The leaves were fun too, using the fly stitch, whip stitch, reverse chain stitch and couching.
Love the dragonfly with tule!
The snails and mushrooms - and the ladybug, which appears in each block :)
Back to stitching leaves on my IMQE quilt!
Have a great day!

Many Requests
I've had many requests for the pattern for a quilt I made/reproduced for my friend. I will dig through my patterns and see what I have and kept, as I had to make it up to replicate a quilt that was made for her years ago. So I'll keep you posted!
